Rook Partners optimistic for a bright Christmas Season

With restrictions lifting across NSW, retailers welcome their local community’s shoppers back – and are looking forward to a busy festive season ahead.

Business leaders are optimistic about the future of retail. Westpac’s chief economist Bill Evans predicts the economy will grow by a massive 7.4 per cent in calendar 2022.

Rook Partners’ Director Bruce Kinley says the reopening of shopping centres is releasing pent-up demand from people who are keen to get out and spend. “We are seeing a rebound in foot traffic as shoppers return to their favourite retail stores, especially long queues for barbers, hair salon and nail bars are consistent across our portfolio of shopping centres,” adds Kinley.

Rook Partners manage over 20 shopping centres and leased over $4 billion worth of development across NSW, including the newly opened Rhodes Central, the vibrant Chatswood Interchange, and many other retail centres around Sydney.

Rook Partners looks forward to a successful Christmas season with customers returning to their favourite shopping centres to dine, shop and catch up with friends.
