The NSW government recently revealed its plan to transform Macquarie Park into an economic and employment powerhouse in Sydney’s North District, adding over 7,600 new homes to create a great new place to live, work, study and visit.
Under its strategy, the state government will deliver seven new residential neighbourhoods as well as 14ha of new parks, squares, plazas, cycleways and linear parks plus 2.7ha of enhanced open space over the next two decades.
Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Rob Stokes says this development would help Macquarie Park transition to a vibrant commercial and residential centre.
The entire 350ha being considered for development includes land between Macquarie Centre and Ivanhoe Estate to Lachlan’s Line and Riverside Corporate Park. Rook Partners is excited to see one of our managed assets, Lachlan’s Square Village, thrive under the new strategy for continued growth in NSW.
The plan is currently on exhibition for local feedback until 10 August 2021.
