Curating a Food Destination: Rook Partners Appointed at Campsie Centre

Rook Partners will spearhead the revitalisation and re-leasing of the food and dining precinct at Campsie Centre, transforming it into a vibrant, food-led community hub.

Set in one of Sydney’s most dynamic suburbs, Campsie has earned a reputation as the Inner West’s go-to destination for authentic Asian cuisine. Locals and food lovers flock to its bustling high streets for standout Malaysian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese flavours, celebrated for their quality, authenticity, and depth of choice.

With such a vibrant food scene surrounding it, Campsie Centre must rise to meet high expectations. Every new addition should not only elevate the centre experience but also complement and enhance Campsie’s renowned food culture.

Leasing Executive Jackie Li leads this project for Rook Partners. With deep expertise in food precinct curation and a keen understanding of local trends, Jackie is uniquely positioned to create a precinct that feels both authentic and forward-looking.

“Campsie already has a strong food identity, people come here knowing they’ll get a great meal,” Jackie said.

“That means the food offering at Campsie Centre has to do more than fill space. It needs to elevate the experience and genuinely satisfy the expectations of locals and visitors who know good food.”

Jackie’s approach is tailored to Campsie’s unique demographics, trading patterns, and cultural influences. By balancing trusted operators with fresh, contemporary concepts, he ensures the precinct remains vibrant, relevant, and commercially strong.

Renowned for spotting emerging food trends, Jackie collaborates closely with landlords to ensure each tenancy strengthens a cohesive, exciting precinct, one that both complements Campsie’s broader food scene and offers something distinct within the centre.

“The opportunity here is to respect what already works well in Campsie, while introducing new concepts that feel curated and intentional,” Jackie added.

“When the mix is right, food becomes the reason people stay longer, come back more often, and connect with the centre as part of their everyday life.”

Rook Partners will provide strategic leasing advice, reposition the precinct, and actively source food operators who align with the long-term vision for Campsie Centre. This appointment builds on Rook Partners’ strong track record of delivering successful food precincts that drive visitation, increase dwell time, and boost centre performance across Sydney.

As the project unfolds, Rook Partners is excited to collaborate with ownership and operators to deliver a food precinct that not only elevates Campsie Centre but also cements Campsie’s status as one of Sydney’s top dining destinations.
