Shopping Centres can be a backbone of their local communities, especially during the current lockdown in Sydney. This year, Rook Partners is one of the recipients of REA Group’s Advantage Community Grants. The grant fund will go towards Beyond Blue‘s Support Service, which provides immediate counselling, advice and connection to support services to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health.
Adam Sheumack, Managing Director of Rook Partners, is delighted to receive the Advantage Community Grants, showing support to Beyond Blue and their program’s impact on local communities.
“We want to support organisations that are helping build community connection through projects with a clear focus on mental health. We know that when people in communities connect, they feel better.”
One in six Australians is currently experiencing depression or anxiety or both. Major Gifts Manager Tulsi Rajyaguru said the need is higher than ever at a time when support services and the sector are stretched: “Last year we saw record demand for our Support Service, with more people reaching out to us for help and support than ever before. At Beyond Blue, we work hard every day to make sure everyone in the community has access to the support they need when they need it, and it’s with incredible supporters such as Rook Partners that we’re able to do this important work.”
